Parade Entry Location

Parade Starts 7:00PM 

All floats, Cars, Buses and people must enter on Union Street to Douglas Ave

No Early than 4:00 PM



Entering the Parade:

All floats, cars, including antique cars, boats, and all other units are to enter the staging area from the south end of Douglas Ave at the corner of Union and proceed north to the staging area. Parade Staff will direct you to your line-up positions.

  • Units can arrive after 4:00 p.m.

  • Do NOT arrive before 4:00 PM

  • Riders must arrive by 5:30 p.m.

  • Listen to all directions provided by the Parade Captains and Parade Management




  • Bead Orders, if you ordered beads from the DDMA they will be dropped off at your parade number. 

  • Parade numbers can be found via the parade position list

  • Please print your parade number and attach it to your float, car or person.  (Please print and have your number available)


  • All parties specifically agree that the owner and sponsor accept full responsibility for protection against personal injury and property damage in the operation of said unit.

  • It is clearly understood that the necessary personnel to staff the entry and costumes will be provided by the sponsoring organizations.

  • A driver must remain with the float at all times

  • You should maintain a 1.5 float length interval at all times.

  • All floats and tow units must be decorated.

  • Golf carts are not allowed in the parade without prior approval. A permit is required for the golf cart to be included within your float application. Parade captain will provide your permit upon your arrival. You must have a permit placed on your golf cart from a member of AMG Group Music Events.
    For safety reasons, please do not encourage the children along the route to come out onto the roadway for any reason.

  • Once in line and moving with the parade, remember you are part of the total show. Parade captains will move you along. Follow their instructions.

  • Please maintain a distance of 35 feet behind the unit in front of you. Parade staff along the route will notify if you are too close or far away.

  • Please no slowing down for photographs once the parade starts. If your unit becomes disabled, try and pull to one side to allow the parade to proceed around you. If able you may re-enter the parade.


  • Party smart. Remember its a parade we all want you to have a good time. Remember a good party starts with you.

  • We have 20 yard dumpsters available for your trash.

  • Please be respectful of the business and homes in the area. Pick up all your trash and remove it. 

Rider Information:

WHERE TO GO: Report to the staging along the west side of the Dunedin Blue Jays “Florida Auto Exchange” Stadium and Dunedin Public Library, on Douglas between Union and Beltrees.

Enter the staging area via Union Street.

Bands: Enter Union Street turn on Lexington street disband walk thru the library parking lot to the stadium parking lot to your assigned area.  A Parade Captain will meet you to direct you.

There is some parking in the Stadium lots, there are also a limited number of spaces available on the streets. Bands/Walkers should not park in this area. Bus drivers should drop off and proceed to Huntley Ave.

Riders must be with their units by 5:30 p.m - This means you must be within the located area for parade staging.

Minimum age of persons riding the Float must be over the age fourteen (14) years of age, unless accompanied by an adult.

Remember as the starting time approaches, traffic in this area will become very congested, many of the streets will be closed to traffic, and parking will be limited.

Please allow yourself ample time to arrive.

It is clearly understood that the necessary personnel to staff the float and costumes will be provided by the sponsoring organization.

The DDMA nor AMG Group Music Events will provide beads, costumes or any items associated with your float. 

DDMA and/or AMG Group Music Events reserves the right to request that you remove anything from your float that is not in good taste of the general audience.

Float Drivers are cautioned to be alert for any overhanging trees in the area 


The Parade ends at the corner of Douglas and Skinner Blvd. All units will turn right.

Parade Captains will direct you to the right or left.

Watch for directions.

Walkers  will continue to the left of the "Parade End" sign and proceed north to Skinner Blvd. and turn left on the sidewalk to the Pinellas Trail. Continue down Pinellas Trail back towards downtown. ( toward Huntley)

Vehicles will continue to the right of the "Parade End" sign; those than need to unload or fasten down their floats once past the sign should do so in the middle lane at the end of Douglas. Once unloaded, vehicles will continue north merging back to the right lanes on Douglas to Skinner and exit to the right on Skinner.

All other vehicles ( not needing to stop) continue to the right of the "Parade End' sign and stay right and continue north on Douglas to Skinner and exit to the right

(Band Buses only/ Parents of high school students) for pick up can be staged on Huntley Ave. 


DO NOT try and re-enter the downtown Dunedin core as it is closed to traffic.

We encourage all participants to join us downtown for the live music, food and fun.
